Do Executors get paid?

Only if the Will says so. Most Wills provide that solicitors or banks should be paid their normal fees. They would not act otherwise.

A solicitor would normally charge around 2% to 3% of the value of the Estate. A bank's fees would be considerably higher. We can generally recommend a Trust Corporation as the least expensive option.
